Royal Blue Tube (No additive)

Draw blood using metal free materials, syringe, test tube, and stoppe

  • Allow blood to clot for 30-40 minutes but no longer than 60 minutes
  • Centrifuge for 10 minutes at 2400 rpm
  • Pour the serum into polyethylene tubes or metal free tubes

Alternative:

  • Red Top (acceptable to to nationwide shortage)
  • Centrifuge and separate from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection
  • Transfer 2 mL serum or plasma to a metal free aliquot tube (RPS clients: TUBE107 on supply portal)

Optimum: 0.5 mL Serum

Minum: 0.2 mL Serum.
